The corresponding merchandise collection draws inspiration from the upcoming animated Finding Dory sequel launching in June 2016

Disney Consumer Products and Bandai have partnered to unveil a global product line-up in conjunction with Disney Pixar’s Finding Dory. Debuting theatrically in the United States on 17 June 2016, the corresponding toy collection debuting worldwide in May draws inspiration from the animated sequel to come.

The newly signed on product partner promises to translate the film’s stars into engaging play experiences for families. Using the recognisable sounds and voices of Dory, Marlin, Nemo as well as a variety of new characters, the line will include playsets, interactive toys, feature figures, plush, bath toys, and more.

“With the beloved characters from Finding Nemo joining a fantastic new supporting cast of friends, our expansive line is sure to spark imaginations worldwide to share in Dory’s aquatic journey,” said Kenji Washida, Vice President of Brand Management at Bandai America.

Specific highlights entail a My Friend Dory interactive soft figure featuring 50 different phrases as responses to swimming and upside-down movements as well as a Swigglefish Figure Assortment offering ‘fun fish motions’ to allow kids to bring the moveable figures soon rolling out to life.

Finding Dory reunites the blue tang fish with oved ones, and everyone learns a few things about the true meaning of family along the way. The all-new big screen adventure dives into theatres in 2016, taking movie-goers back to the extraordinary underwater world from the original film.

“This partnership is an opportunity for us to extend the adventures through innovations. Working with Bandai, we were able to come up with fun and creative ways to translate ocean life into engaging toys that fans of all ages will love,” said Josh Silverman, Executive Vice President, Global Licensing at Disney Consumer Products.
