The firm will support the implementation of a global programme aimed at increasing awareness and understanding among retailers and consumers
Communications agency, Cohn & Wolfe, has been appointed by Global Blue, a leader in tax-free shopping, to support the planning and implementation of a global public relations programme aimed at increasing awareness and understanding among retailers and consumers.
The client company facilitates tax refunds for a network of thousands of recognisable high-street and luxury brands, while assisting consumers to locate the best places to shop tax-free in 39 countries. It operates one of the world’s largest and most comprehensive databases on international shoppers.
The brand uses it to then support a range of customers, from retailers to banks, helping them to target and profit from the lucrative traveller market. In line with the client’s efforts and services, the agency will handle ongoing B2B outreach to promote Global Blue’s core functions and products to merchants.
In addition, consumer campaigns will be developed to promote its tax-free shopping offering. The firm is poised to also provide strategic guidance on media relations, content creation, issues management, crisis communications, internal communications, and brand building services.
The new programme targets a global audience and will support the company’s growth in key markets which include the regions of Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Cohn & Wolfe will also collaborate with Global Blue’s communications team to execute all of the aforementioned objectives.
“With international traveller numbers and spend on the rapid increase, this is such an exciting time to join Global Blue’s journey. We look forward to helping the business bring its story to life and sharing its expertise and insights on the trends impacting the global retail economy and international shopper habits,” said Helen Searle, MD, Corporate Affairs of Cohn & Wolfe.
