Chrysler and Kango have partnered to introduce a rideshare service partnership, with the first leg of the journey beginning in the Bay Area.

Chrysler and Kango, the on-demand rideshare and childcare service for pre- to high school kids, have inked a deal which will see the new Pacifica Hybrid minivan in use through the app-based service provider. Offering an affordable lease, the tie-up promotes safety and environmental stewardship.

California-based, Kango will begin deploying the vehicles in San Francisco during the fall. The minivans will be used by the brand’s pre-screened drivers—who are Trustline-certified, fingerprinted, background-checked, and DMV-record-checked—to transport riders in the Bay Area.

“Parents and children today are busier than ever and often need to be in multiple places at one time. Our brand is focused on providing transportation solutions for families to make their lives easier,” said Tim Kuniskis, Head of Passenger Car Brands – Dodge, SRT, Chrysler and FIAT, FCA – North America.
