Burson-Marsteller is set to acquire a majority stake in communications firm, Effect PR. Headquartered in Istanbul, the outfit has served has the former’s exclusive affiliate partner in Turkey since 2012. Following the acquisition, the brand will join the B-M network as a full member and be re-named Effect Burson-Marsteller.

According to Donald A. Baer, Worldwide Chair and CEO, the move underscores that Turkey is a critical market for B-M’s global growth. He added that the newly established entity will see the group continue to offer its clients business-building opportunities across major markets globally.
