British Airways partnered with 3FM Radio for a treasure hunt promoting its return flights between the Isle of Man and London City Airport.
British Airways recently launched a challenge targeting the residents of the Isle of Man, an exercise that put their local knowledge to the test. The airline also partnered with 3FM Radio over a treasure hunt designed to promote the return flights between said destination and London City Airport.
In conjunction with the effort, cabin crew member, Mercedesz Szasz (pictured), was pictured at several iconic locations on the island which featured on the radio’s website and social media channels. Meanwhile, listeners who wanted to participate in the contest had to correctly identify where she was.
In addition to standing a chance to win flights, the top prize was return flights to London City, a stay at the Westbury Hotel in Mayfair, and dinner at the famous Boisdale Restaurant in Canary Wharf. According to the brand, the Isle of Man-London City route is an important one to British Airways.
“We had a fantastic two days visiting some of the most beautiful parts of the Isle of Man. We visited local travel agents and also had fun with the radio station testing people’s local knowledge,” said Luke Hayhoe, General Manager, Commercial and Customer at British Airways.
British Airways was a winner at 2016-2017 World Branding Awards under the Airline (National) category.
