The ambassador appointment by Banana Republic will see the style icon integrated throughout the brand’s global marketing initiatives.
Banana Republic has named international style icon, Olivia Palermo (pictured), its first women’s Global Style Ambassador. Beginning in the fall and extending through 2017, the partnership will see the personality integrated throughout the fashion network’s worldwide marketing initiatives.
Available since its Spring 2017 New York Fashion Week 10 September debut, she has curated more than a dozen limited-edition designs to breathe new life into the marque’s classics. The early-release capsule will be sold online and at the company’s Flatiron location in New York.
She joins basketball star, Kevin Love, the first Banana Republic men’s global style ambassador appointed earlier this year. His recent spring and summer campaigns were pushed via social media. Both he and Palermo debut globally in stores and through advertising this month.
The brand has released a push titled Turn It Up, challenging consumers to dress the part. A call to action driving people to embrace their individuality with confidence, the exercise is a boost for those looking to use personal style as an accessory to self-expression and lasting impressions.
Shot by Inez and Vinoodh while styled by Edward Enninful, and developed in partnership with Chandelier Creative, the creative platform captures three models namely Eva Dolezalova, Anais Mali, and Ollie Edwards in covetable fall product, including a new Italian wool suiting collection.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with Olivia. She leads such a full and modern lifestyle, one our customers relate to and admire. Nobody can make it look more effortless than her,” said Lexi Tawes, Senior Vice President, Global Merchandising & Digital at Banana Republic.
