Well-equipped and suitable for short- and long-term stays, Australia’s first Hyatt House Hotel will open in South Melbourne in 2025. According to an official press release by the Hyatt Hotels Corporation, the 97-room abode will pioneer the Hyatt House brand in Australia.
The agreement, between a Hyatt affiliate and Holder East Ltd affiliate, is a testament to the brand’s Asia Pacific growth. So far, Hyatt Houses throughout Asia include China, Japan, and Malaysia.
Each Hyatt House Hotel is designed to be spacious and complete with all the living necessities guests need. The home-away-from-home experience empowers visitors to enjoy these amenities, along with contemporary designs, modern spaces, and a welcoming community.
David Udell, Hyatt’s Group President of Asia Pacific, shared, “The brand brings all the comforts of home to guests who do not just want to stay somewhere, but to live somewhere, even if only for two nights. That means more space for living and working, delivered with flexibility, comfort and thoughtful touches.”
The Hyatt House Hotel in Australia is part of the mixed-use Oasis Residences apartment, coined as an urban sanctuary. The 97 guestrooms will comprise studio and 1-bedroom residential styles, complete with kitchen amenities, a living room, a lavish bedroom, and a modern bathroom.
Besides these, the hotel will also house an all-day lounge with a bar and a round-the-clock fitness room. Moreover, and catering to its nature as a house, there will be communal spaces for work, play, and relaxation.
Australia’s first Hyatt House Hotel will be located in the bustling centre of South Melbourne, close to several landmarks. Situated in a central location, visitors will be near the ANZAC Station, Royal Botanical Gardens, and the Australian Grand Prix racetrack in Albert Park.
Apart from that, other distinctive places of interest close by are the business hubs in the Docklands, Southbank, and St Kilda Road. The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre is also a short distance away, placing the Hyatt House Hotel as a prime candidate for business lodgings.
