Taking its brand to the next level, its latest innovations include the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, Apple TV, and iPad Pro complete with 3D Touch and more
In a bid to intensify its brand’s strength and presence within the smartphone sphere, Apple has rolled out a series of new releases beginning with the introduction of its latest iPhone 6s and 6s Plus ranges. According to the mobile giant, the two latest variants add a fresh dimension to the iPhone’s existing multi-touch interface, which now includes 3D Touch for heightened interactivity between user, device, and content consumption.
The said capability is unique is the manner of its ability to sense force and activate intuitive avenues to access features and interact with content. Also, both devices are equipped with Retina HD displays made from highly durable glass and 7000 series aluminium, the same alloy used in the aerospace industry. Boasting a metallic finish, the 6s and 6s Plus variants come in rose gold as well.
Upping the ante on the products’ enhanced capabilities, both highlight a fresh approach to photography dubbed Live Photos—a feature which adds life to still images by allowing one to capture moments in motion. The 3D Touch, Live Photos as well as other technologies embedded into the devices are powered by the A9 chip, designed in-house to serve as the smartphone’s industry’s most advanced, in an effort to optimise on performance speed and battery life whilst staying ahead of the brand’s competition.
“The only thing that has changed with iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus is everything—3D Touch lets users interact with the iPhone in entirely new and fun ways, and the innovative Live Photos brings your pictures to life,” said Philip Schiller, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing of Apple.
Furthermore, with advanced wireless technologies including higher-quality Wi-Fi and LTE Advanced, users can browse, download, and stream content at a much quicker pace. The new iPhones also support up to 23 LTE bands, the most in any smartphone, for better worldwide roaming. The brand has also debuted its all-new Apple TV, which entails apps built for television, allowing viewers to choose what to watch and when.
With the inclusion of the Siri Remote, users can navigate better through the use of their own voice when performing TV show and movie searches across multiple content providers simultaneously. Apple TV runs the latest tvOS operating system, enabling millions of iOS developers to create innovative apps and games specifically for the device and deliver them directly to users through the new Apple TV App Store.
“There has been so much innovation in entertainment and programming through iOS apps that we want to bring that same excitement to the television. Apps make the TV experience even more compelling for viewers and we think apps represent the future of TV,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s SVP of Internet Software and Services.
Also, the iPad Pro featuring a 12.9-inch retina display with 5.6 million pixels joins Apple’s latest suite of new launches. The new larger device is thin, light and provides all-day battery life with more than 850,000 apps in the App Store designed specifically for iPad. The iPad Pro welcomes a new generation of advanced apps for everything from productivity, design, illustration, engineering, and medical to education, gaming, and entertainment.
The Apple Pencil for iPad Pro which makes drawing and sketching more natural has also been introduced, a precision input device available for purchase separately. Advanced sensors in the Apple Pencil measure both pressure and tilt for a fast and fluid drawing experience, while a built-in lightning connector makes for quick and easy pairing and charging.
It also works with popular apps like Mail, Notes, Procreate and Office 365 for iPad, offering new levels of creativity and productivity. Also, the subsystem of the Multi-Touch display in iPad Pro has been redesigned to work with the Apple Pencil to dramatically reduce latency and deliver incredible accuracy for activities like fine art illustration and detailed 3D design.
Finally, Apple’s new Smart Keyboard further extends the utility of iPad Pro, offering a full-sized keyboard in a thin, durable design. It is available for purchase separately, attaches to the iPad Pro’s innovative Smart Connector port, eliminating the need for a separate battery, on/off switch or Bluetooth pairing.
Covered in custom-woven fabric and featuring keys that provide the accuracy and stability, it is easily foldable and transforms into a Smart Cover. The Smart Keyboard works seamlessly with new QuickType features in iOS 9 to make typing even faster and easier.
