Renewing its support of Conor McGregor, Monster Energy is extending its sponsorship of the fighter who will take on Mayweather this month.

Monster Energy has extended its sponsorship agreement with Conor McGregor. The Irish athlete has been part of the marque’s MMA programme since 2015, and was one of the first to join the elite team. The renewal takes place ahead of his match with Floyd Mayweather.

Scheduled for 26 August, the tournament commences at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Per the deal, the shorts McGregor wears on competition day this month and during his UFC title defence later in the year will bear the iconic M-Claw insignia of the energy drink brand.

Also, the company has shot a 30-second spot available for viewing across its website, multiple digital platforms, and via select television programming. The overall strategy symbolises its commitment to the MMA as well as its world-class athletes.

“After two years, we are excited to continue our partnership with Conor McGregor as he prepares for the biggest fight in history. His confidence, determination, and aggression are synonymous with our values,” said Marianne Radley, SVP of Marketing at Monster Energy.
