Mazda has unveiled its new generation of cars with the redesign of a fan favourite and its upcoming global roll-out slated for early 2019.

Mazda has revealed its re-imagined Mazda3 variant, which is scheduled for roll-out to global markets beginning with North America during early 2019. Featuring a mature Kodo design language, the vehicle endeavours to personify the essence of the carmaker’s very distinctive Japanese aesthetic.

According to Mazda, the hatchback and sedan have distinct personalities; the former is emotive, while the latter elegant. With a powertrain line-up lends itself to the brand’s Skyactiv technology, the vehicle’s driving attributes are enhanced, elevating speed, acceleration, braking, turning, and much more.

While the overall form presents simple motion, the subtle undulations introduced bring the new look to life by shifting light and reflections that glide over the body surface. Despite sharing the same name, the outcome is a richer and more powerful expression of vitality compared to previous models.

“Our next generation of Mazda cars enhances the value of the car ownership experience. With these products, we will further raise our brand and work towards our goal of building strong bonds with customers all over the world,” said Akira Marumoto, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mazda.
