The Holiday Inn revamp includes the upgrade of seven and 181 conference and guestrooms, the addition of five rooms, and more.
Holiday Inn, under InterContinental Hotels Group, has re-opened the doors of its Perth City Centre property following the recent completion of its $25 million renovation. The destination has been an important extension of the city’s hospitality landscape and history since the 70s.
Owned by George Atzemis and Con Berbatis, works commenced in January 2015 and included the makeover of seven and 181 conference and guestrooms respectively as well as the main lobby, façade, and canopy. Five rooms were added to allow the brand to accommodate more travellers.
The re-imagined accommodations offer a unique blend of colours, fabrics, furniture and artwork to accentuate the guest experience, alongside en-suite upgrades for heightened style and functionality. Another key update was that of the Holiday Inn getaway’s concept restaurant and bar, Ivy & Jack.
Apart from aesthetic changes, the eatery’s redevelopment draws attention to its Holiday Inn heritage. Released in 1969, For Love of Ivy was the name of the first film to premiere in the well-known Town Cinema which operated from the site. The lead characters in the aforementioned movie were Ivy and Jack.
