Jetstar Asia will be the only budget airline to offer direct flights between Singapore and Colombo, launching on November 21, 2024.

The Singapore-based budget airline Jetstar Asia will operate five return flights weekly between Singapore and Colombo using its Airbus A320 fleet. This will give travelers over 90,000 affordable seats between the two destinations annually.

In addition, the split schedule features morning and evening departures from Changi Airport, allowing travellers to start their journey in Singapore and offering convenient connections for those flying via Singapore on Jetstar Airways’ (JQ) daily service from Melbourne or up to six weekly flights from Perth.

Jetstar Asia has introduced a special one-way sale fare from Singapore to Colombo starting at only SG$149 (£87) to mark the launch of its new route. Club Jetstar members can take advantage of even lower fares, beginning at SG$139 (£81). This makes travelling to Sri Lanka more affordable than ever.

John Simeone, CEO of Jetstar Asia, described Colombo as the gateway to Sri Lanka and an ideal destination for travellers seeking adventure, a romantic getaway, or a family holiday.

“Sri Lanka is a vibrant destination renowned for its breathtaking scenery and warm hospitality, making it a must-visit for many travellers,” said Mr. Simeone.

“On behalf of the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, we congratulate Jetstar Asia and anticipate a successful partnership that will provide unforgettable experiences for our valued customers.”
