Cara Mila tasked London creative agency Luxury Branding to hone a brand identity that expressed its distinctive, leading-edge product and upstart, artistic personality

Mila Furs has unveiled a new brand identity to coincide with the evolution of its brand name to Cara Mila. To capitalise on significant success since its inception in 2015, and to further demonstrate its progressive brand image, the dynamic young luxury brand has adopted the new name, visual identity and tagline to suit its transformed positioning.

In a deliberate effort to distance Cara Mila from legacy fur brands that extol classical, establishment and monochrome character, Luxury Branding drew inspiration from the Latin origins of its Argentinian Founders, defining the brand’s creative platform as “Fur with Fire”.

“The new visual identity combines a simple and elegant word mark with bold use of warm vibrant colours, richly graded photography and spirited graphic elements. Seamlessly and playfully, the new identity interacts with Cara Mila’s highly tactile product, representing the promise of a newly refined brand where fiery energy is counterbalanced with exquisite luxury detailing, materials and finishes,” said Piers Schmidt, Founder of Luxury Branding.

Digital is the centerpiece of the effort with the new branding applied to the brand’s ecommerce website www.cara-mila.com, product labelling, luxury packaging, corporate stationery, a 56-page look book and campaign shot by Ash Johnson featuring Lys Inger.

Headquartered in London, Cara Mila harnesses a new direction for 21st century fur. Adored by the most fashionably alluring women in the world, the Cara Mila collection is a modern take on the traditional artistry of master furriers. Adhering to sustainable production methods beginning with responsible sourcing, Cara Mila uses only the highest quality, Origin Assured pelts, coloured with natural dyes. The naturally biodegradable materials or waste-bio materials are turned into bio-fuels or fertilisers, ensuring there is a complete eco-friendly cycle with no harmful emissions to the environment.

The Autumn/ Winter 2017 high-fur collection features strong silhouettes in Cross Mink, Pearl Mink, and Artic Marble Fox, punctuated with glittering accents, astrological intarsia detailing and exaggerated Lamb hair fringes. The high-fur collection is offset with everyday essential Fox-lined parkas and down coats favoured by Olivia Palermo.

For those wishing for a truly unique showstopper Cara Mila also offers a fully bespoke service.
