Burberry has launched a new fragrance called Her and has appointed Cara Delevingne as campaign ambassador for the collection’s roll-out.
Burberry has unveiled a fragrance called Her. Photographed by Juergen Teller in London, British actress and model, Cara Delevingne, has been chosen as the face of the campaign. The new release can be purchased online and at select boutiques from this month while available at specialty beauty retail and department stores globally.
The creative push features a series of candid images around Delevingne’s hometown and records her own rendition of the song, Maybe it’s because I’m a Londoner, as the video’s accompanying soundtrack. The Burberry Her eau de parfum variant for women delivers a fruity and floral profile created by master perfumer, Francis Kurkdjian.
Snapchat consumers will be able to engage via a custom lens, Geo-targeted filters around London, and Giphy stickers for said channel and Instagram. The fresh Burberry scent begins with red and dark berries (blackcurrant, blueberry, and raspberry), progresses with notes of jasmine and violet at the heart, and gives off a base of dry amber and musk.
Inspired by the design of the brand’s inaugural fragrance from 1981, Burberrys for Men, the new bottle is made from curved glass and can be personalised with engraved initials on a gold charm around its neck. The Burberry Her collection includes the fragrance (in four sizes) as well as a 200-ml body lotion, shower gel, and perfumed deodorant.
“Burberry Her is unique because it is a memorable signature. You need a strong accord, an olfactive story that translates your vision. The combination of these sunburst berries and British spirit blended with the ambery, musky accord brings this unique signature. You can immediately recognise when someone is wearing it,” said Kurkdjian.
