Airweave has inked a deal with Masaru and pet owner, Alina Zagitova, to promote its dog-friendly and fully washable airfibre mattresses.

Airweave has unveiled its first ever canine brand ambassador, Masaru. Owned by Olympic figure-skating champion, Alina Zagitova, the Akita Inu will feature in upcoming promotions centred around the marque’s pet-friendly and 100 percent washable mattress offerings.

As representative of the label, Masaru will appear in a global campaign set to launch early next year with dog-mum and 2018 gold medallist, Zagitova. The push aims to demonstrate the unique features and comfort benefits of the products made for both dogs and humans.

The partnership materialised after the star athlete, impressed with the innovative design, shared on Instagram how Masaru had taken to a new mattress gifted by Airweave CEO, Motokuni Takaoka. Upon sealing the deal, a larger custom-made dog bed was presented.

The only fully washable mattress on the market, its cover can be removed and machine-washed, and its inner core hand-rinsed using a mild detergent. The proprietary airfibre material utilised is highly breathable, making freeing moisture and total drying possible.
