McCann Worldgroup will deliver creative and digital solutions for Subway, with the business led from the network’s Singapore office

Subway has appointed McCann Worldgroup, a leading global marketing services company with 24,000 employees in more than 100 countries, as its regional agency of record after a competitive multi-agency pitch. The agency will help Subway achieve its overall brand transformation goals, with a focus on delivering integrated communications that will drive relevance and emotional connection.

The Asia Pacific region represents a significant growth opportunity for Subway, as the brand aims to redefine choice and empower consumers to live a vibrant lifestyle across the region.

“McCann Worldgroup impressed us with the strength of their creative approach and their in-depth understanding of Millennials across Asia Pacific. I look forward to working closely with the McCann Worldgroup team,” commented Mandy Mak, Regional Marketing Director, Subway Asia Pacific.

“We are very proud of this win and the opportunity to work with such a fantastic brand. McCann Worldgroup has millennials’ programmes embedded in several of our Asia offices and is well-known for our ‘Truth About Youth’ study that rolled-out across 9 APAC markets last year. This is a great chance to fulfil our mission of forging a meaningful role for the brand across a unique millennial audience,” said Nick Handel, CEO, McCann Worldgroup Singapore.

McCann Worldgroup, part of the Interpublic Group, comprises of McCann Erickson (advertising), MRM//McCann (digital marketing/relationship management), Momentum Worldwide (total brand experience), McCann Health (professional/dtc communications), CRAFT (global adaptation and production), UM (media management), Weber Shandwick (public relations), FutureBrand (consulting/design), ChaseDesign (shopper marketing) and PMK-BNC (entertainment/brand/popular culture).
