KFC has released its first in-game Super Bowl advertisement, which is set to air during the fourth quarter of the Big Game on 5 February 2017.
Fast food giant, KFC, has unveiled its first in-game Super Bowl advertisement. The 15-second commercial will air during the game’s fourth quarter. Titled Colonel vs. Colonel, it features Kentucky Buckets Coach Colonel, Rob Riggle, and Georgia Gold Colonel, Billy Zane, in a face-off for the spotlight.
The spot is supported by three teaser videos, which were released on the brand’s social channels as well as YouTube on 31 January, as a lead-up to the big game set on 5 February 2017. From Hot Wings to Extra Crispy Tenders, the group is continuing its momentum with many classics and new entries. Fore more videos, click here.
Colonel Riggle first appeared in the marque’s advertising campaign in September, when KFC’s Colonel Harland Sanders announced the formation of a professional football team fuelled by fried chicken, the Kentucky Buckets.
“We are to making chicken the way our founder, Colonel Harland Sanders, made it back in pop culture, so we’re celebrating on the biggest advertising stage of the year—the Super Bowl,” said Kevin Hochman, U.S. Chief Marketing Officer for KFC.
