Expanding its roster of female ambassadors, the brand has appointed the professional surfer as its most recent addition

Deckers Brands owned footwear giant, Sanuk, has added to its growing roster of female brand ambassadors with the recent appointment of professional surfer, Maddie Peterson. An elite sportswoman, the 17-year-old mostly splits her training between New Jersey and Orange County.

A National Scholastic Surfing Association champion, staple of the United States Surf Team, and ISA World Junior medallist, she embodies the high-spirited essence of the marque. Also an ambassador for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, she hosts its annual surf camp.

Sanuk is expanding its feminine offerings to include styles like the closed-toe selections from its Alphie collection and remixed classics from its Yoga Mat range. Celebrities on the brand’s line-up typically feature across its social media, marketing, media, and sponsorship activation efforts.

“We have had our eye on Maddie for quite some time. When the timing aligned, we naturally jumped at the opportunity. We have no doubt she will bring amazing energy to the ambassador family. We’re stoked to have her in the mix,” said Ethan Anderson, VP of Global Marketing at Sanuk.
