New role created to support a more integrated offering for clients and growth in the business

Wunderman, a WPP company and leading global digital agency, announced that it has appointed Stephan Pretorius to the newly created position of UK Group CEO to oversee the group’s growing operations in the UK.

In this new role, Pretorius will be responsible for Wunderman’s businesses in the UK, including Acceleration, Burrows, Cognifide, Fusepump, POSSIBLE, Salmon and Wunderman London, which collectively make the group one of the largest digital agencies in the UK. A key priority will be to give clients seamless access to a range of services which span digital strategy, experience design, ecommerce, content, marketing technology and digital transformation consulting.

Pretorius joined Wunderman as its Chief Technology Officer in 2016 along with Acceleration, a marketing technology consulting company that he founded in 1999. He will continue in his role of Chief Technology Officer with an expanded team.

In the past three years, Wunderman has grown from 900 to over 2,000 people on the back of significant new business wins with clients such as BT/EE and GSK, as well as the addition of new service offerings particularly in marketing, commerce and experience technology management.
