Wunderman reinforces its ability to deliver data and technology, and extends its offer into end-to-end digital transformation services.
Global digital agency, Wunderman, has added premier marketing technology consultancy, Acceleration, to its network. The major move reinforces group’s ability to deliver data and technology consulting, and extends its offer into end-to-end digital transformation services.
The brand joined WPP in 2012 to assist in developing digital strategies as well as design and implement the supporting data and technology infrastructure behind them. The two companies have worked closely on a number of client assignments around the world.
The proposition allows seamless digital transformation starting with strategy development and runs through to the creation of campaigns and experiences which drive concrete business results. Acceleration founders, Jacques Van Niekerk and Stephan Pretorius, will assume new roles.
Van Niekerk has been named CEO of Wunderman Data, the division offering data management, data services, and analytics. With more than 20 years of experience in building media, technology, and data related businesses worldwide, he will focus on developing offer globally.
Pretorius steps in as overall Chief Technology Officer, and will leverage his experience working with tech companies to advise clients on solutions and work with Wunderman’s own technology partners including Adobe, Marketo, Google, Microsoft, and Salesforce, among others.
Acceleration will be joining the Data arm to continue to operate as a standalone brand and agnostic advisor to the accounts under the portfolio. Meanwhile, current North America CEO of Acceleration, Grant Keller, has been elevated to the position of Global CEO, in line with the move.
