Ogilvy PR veteran, Ee Rong Chong, has been appointed to the newly created Group Managing Director role with immediate effect.

Ogilvy & Mather has appointed head of Singapore’s public relations business, Ee Rong Chong (pictured), to the post of Group Managing Director, effective immediately. She will partner with Group Chairman, Chris Riley, to accelerate implementation of the agency’s global Next Chapter strategy.

The platform centres on integration across Ogilvy’s disciplines and advancement of modern marketing services such as data analytics, marketing automation, and digital media. The pair will focus on delivery transformation and future proofing existing service offerings to stay ahead of the curve.

In addition to her new duties, the 16-year agency veteran will continue to serve as Managing Director of Ogilvy Public Relations Singapore. Since joining Ogilvy PR in 2000 in Kuala Lumpur, Chong has made the most of the brand’s global network, having lived and worked around the region.

Throughout her close to twenty-year tenure with the company, she has led client relationships and campaigns spanning key markets such as Singapore, China, Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. Her appointment is an asset to clients seeking strong, integrated, content-led campaigns.
