The agency will spearhead the revamp of communications and marketing for the $185 million initiative over the next 10 years
Widmeyer Communications, a Finn Partners company, has been chosen to head marketing and communications for the U.S. Army’s Educational Outreach Programme (AEOP). The agency will work closely with Battelle, the lead on a consortium of nine organisations which are part of the exercise.
The move will see the revamp of communications and marketing for the $185 million (approximately £1.21 million) initiative over the next decade. AEOP is one of the nation’s largest educational outreach programmes focused on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), reaching more than 35,000 students and teachers countrywide.
By 2025, the consortium aims to nearly double its reach by recruiting more than 65,000 participants. The project will be managed by VP and Director, Marina Stenos, from the agency’s New York office. Account services will include strategic communications and partnerships, marketing and media relations, social media integration, community management, digital research, and brand management.
“Our deep expertise in education communications and particularly STEM, make us a great fit for this effort,” said Jason Smith, Managing Partner of Finn Partners and leader of the agency’s PK-12 education practice.
