WhistlePig, the maker of ultra-premium rye whiskey, has inked a deal with BDT Capital Partners, earning the brand an equity investment.
American luxury rye whiskey maker, WhistlePig, has signed a partnership with merchant bank, BDT Capital Partners. The alliance marks a structured equity investment that includes a minority common equity stake. Founded in 2008, the marque crafts premium beverages.
The company in 2010 received a 96 rating—the highest awarded by Wine Enthusiast—for its 10-Year Old Straight Rye Whiskey. The record has only ever been surpassed by a 97 rating for its 15-Year Old Straight Rye Whiskey, which the brand received later in 2016.
“This partnership is another important step in our transition from a start-up to a leading craft distiller. We are very pleased that the hard work of many over the last ten years has created tremendous value for our investors,” said Wilco Faessen, Co-Founder of WhistlePig.
