Now in its fifth year, the Innovation Awards by Warc is free and open to all forms of marketing and communications from any country.

Online advertising insights service provider, Warc, has launched its 2017 Innovation Awards—a global search for effective innovation in marketing with a $10,000 cash prize fund for the winning papers. The platform seeks innovative strategies that use fresh or familiar technology in a new way.

A winning entry might reflect how a brand’s products or services were transformed or show how innovative thinking disrupted category conventions.  Currently in its fifth year, the above competition is free to enter and open to all forms of marketing and communications from any country in the world.

Entrants must submit a marketing innovation case study that delivered tangible results for a brand. The work needs to have been in-market between 1 January 2015 and 11 January 2017. Enrollment details and the entry form are available via a dedicated website. The entry deadline is 12 January 2017.

The judges that have been appointed to the panel include:

  1. Frances Ralston-Good, CEO at Hearts & Science, UK

2. Lizzie Shupak, Head of Innovation at DigitasLBi, UK

3. Will Harvey, Innovation Lead at VCCP Partnership, UK

They decide which entries take Gold, Silver, and Bronze. The Grand Prix winner receives $5,000. Warc will present five $1,000 Special Awards recognising specific areas: innovation in a product or service; channel innovation; category innovation; co-created innovation; and innovation in a not-profit-campaign.

The 2016 Innovation Awards Grand Prix was won by Bediz Eker and Arif Emre Perçin of Y&R Team Red Istanbul for Between Us, a campaign for Vodafone Turkey which addressed the issue of domestic violence, and which the judges described as clever, powerful, and to be true innovation.
