Via Spiga has released a fall collection which reflects the new textures and styles inspired by its recent relaunch led by CD, Carla De Freitas.

Via Spiga, the American footwear label inspired by Milan’s main shopping street, has undergone a relaunch. Led by its newly appointed Creative Director, Carla De Freitas, the result is a collection which features unique proportions, contemporary looks, new textures, and the brand’s energy.

The marque’s first to be solely devoted to every aspect of the line, she believes that superior design is achieved with the highest standards of form, function, and style. Building on a heritage of fine craftsmanship, her strategy has been to push boundaries using the latest production innovations.

Recognising the necessity of working with partners who understand the founding principles of Via Spiga, De Freitas was urged to move the majority of the company’s manufacturing back to the original Italian factory used when the brand was first introduced over three decades ago in 1985.

As evidenced by the elevated aesthetic of its fall collection, the decision has been a step in the right direction for the business. Premium materials such as soft Italian leather, delicate suedes, and rich calf hair are featured in silhouettes that range from heeled boots to flats to pumps to tailored sneakers.

Meanwhile, the updated colour palette marries classic neutrals like white and saddle browns with warm red and navy hues for a seasonal expression that is both feminine and strong yet timeless. The enhanced assortment offers women the opportunity to perfect their looks for work and the weekend.

“My goal is to give women a collection that they can go to for all their needs. There was a concerted effort towards making each pair comfortable without compromising style. This all begins with seeking out the finest materials and leveraging them in the most advanced design practices,” said De Freitas.
