TBWA Worldwide has promoted Asia region President, Philip Brett (pictured), to the role of Chief Operating Officer. He remains in Singapore until autumn to ensure a smooth transition before returning to London to drive the group’s performance and innovation agenda.
Expanding his remit is an important move for the group. After 21 years of focus on Asia, Brett’s primary duty in his new capacity is to operationalise the agency’s numerous product and platform initiatives across the globe by implementing best practices and innovation.
CEO of AMVBBDO, Ian Pearlman, will step in as TBWA\Asia lead. With the appointment set to take effect on 1 August, he will be based Singapore and oversee all countries in said market, while charged with further advancing the agency’s collective position across the region.
“Phil and Ian share an innovation and product mindset, the ability to build bridges, and a thirst to drive ideas into action. We are lucky to have two of Omnicom’s best. I am thrilled to see them step into new growth roles,” said Troy Ruhanen, President and CEO of TBWA Worldwide.
