Beginning in summer 2017, visitors to its Las Vegas Cantina flagship can tie the knot Taco Bell style at the restaurant’s wedding chapel.
Taco Bell is affording couples the option to order a wedding right off its menu. Exclusive to its Las Vegas Cantina restaurant, the package comes with a private-branded garter, bowtie, sauce packet wedding bouquet, champagne flutes, Just Married t-shirts, and a Cinnabon Delights cake.
Breaking convention and beginning in the summer of this year, patrons of the brand’s Sin City flagship store will be able to tie the knot with a ceremony at the restaurant’s wedding chapel for $600 (approximately £480). Couples will also enjoy a Taco 12-pack for their first meal as newlyweds.
The deal includes matrimonial coordination and officiant services through a partnership with Flora Pop, a company specialised in pop-up weddings and elopements. As a lead-up to the public summer launch, the chain is now running its Love and Tacos Contest and Happily Ever Crashers Sweepstakes.
Scheduled to draw to a close on 26 February, the consumer contest offers participant a chance to be the first couple to get married at said flagship and win an all-expense paid trip to Vegas. The winning pair also receives travel and accommodations at Planet Hollywood, courtesy of Caesar’s.
Fan can enrol by sharing a photo or 30-second video of themselves and their love story on Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #LoveAndTacosContest. Once the contest period ends, voting will begin to choose America’s favourite couple. The results will be announced on 16 March.
In a unique twist, fans who vote are automatically in the running to secure seats for two at the winning couple’s nuptials ceremony. Flights and spending money will be provided for the winner and a plus one. Users can go online for further information on how to get married at Taco Bell.
“From sauce packet proposals to wedding after-parties, we have known for years that our most creative fans have been incorporating Taco Bell into their momentous occasion. Couples can now order a wedding right off our menu,” said Marisa Thalberg, Chief Marketing Officer at Taco Bell.
