Plugin is now compatible with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign for the first time
Shutterstock, a leading global technology company offering a creative platform for high-quality assets, tools and services, today announced that it has updated its custom-built plugins to be more fully integrated with Adobe Creative Cloud, adding compatibility directly within the Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign applications.
This is the first time Shutterstock has made its high quality video collection of 8 million clips available through a plugin, giving amateur filmmakers and veteran film editors another powerful tool at their disposal within Premiere Pro.
With these integrations, Shutterstock intends to not only save creative professionals time and increase productivity, but also emerge as an all-in-one content platform, meeting and assisting customers where they perform their professional work.
“As soon as we announced the Photoshop plugin last year, people started to ask us when we’d provide them the same service for other applications within the Adobe suite,” said Jon Oringer, Founder and CEO of Shutterstock. “We’re pleased to bring together the images and video customers love into the tools they use every day.”
Key features of the Shutterstock plugin include:
- Streamlined workflow – Gain access to Shutterstock’s library of images, vectors, and footage without switching applications.
- Design previews – Make edits and share designs using preview images or clips before purchasing a license.
- Content curation – Get inspiration from pre-curated collections of imagery or video clips, or from user-generated collections shared with a team of colleagues.
- Simple licensing – Download assets within the applications without losing the integrity of the work.
The compatibility with new applications builds on the success of Shutterstock’s 2016 launch of a plugin compatible with the Adobe Photoshop application. With more than 150,000 new images added daily, Shutterstock has the largest collection of photos, vectors and illustrations that can be licensed directly within the Creative Cloud desktop application.
The Shutterstock plugin works for Creative Cloud 2015-2017 and is available for Mac and PC users in English.
