Sammy Networks Distributes “Ramen Soul,” English Version of Popular Smartphone Game “Ramen Tamashii” with Over 5 Million Downloads
Sammy Networks Co., Ltd. – a digital gaming brand under SEGA’s management – started distributing “Ramen Soul” for mobile platforms on 12 January 2017. This is the English version of the company’s popular smartphone ramen shop management game “Ramen Tamashii” which has hit five million downloads in Japan.
The game is now available for both iPhones (through the App Store) and Android devices (through the Google Play Store).
Ramen Soul is released in response to the ramen boom overseas in recent years, focusing on a more global approach with the usage of English.
The game is free-to-play for basic play, however in-game items and upgrades have to be purchased. The game starts with a small stall and players are required to work up to become the number one ramen shop on the planet. The gameplay allows players to combine noodles, soups and toppings to create their own unique ramen dishes using over 1,000 ingredients available.
