Independent global creative and communications agency, Ruder Finn, has appointed Katy Kelley, who returns to assume her new position as Senior Vice President, Creative Culture and Global Marketing. In the role, she will raise the brand’s creative reputation by nurturing a spirited culture that engages employees and celebrates innovative thinking.
Additionally, she will lead the firm’s strategic presence in the marketplace and direct thought leadership, public relations, advertising, marketing, and social media efforts around the world. Based at the company’s headquarters in New York, she reports to Kathy Bloomgarden, CEO of Ruder Finn.
With more than twelve years of agency experience, Kelley has been instrumental in helping multinationals align their internal and external messaging, designing programmes which strengthen cross-cultural collaboration, and streamline communication channels. Kelley joins Ruder Finn from Cohn & Wolfe, where she served as Vice President of Global Marketing.
There, she helped lead strategic global marketing, creative storytelling, social media management, and corporate communications. She also sat within the creative group to facilitate brainstorms, construct system-wide training programmes, and develop tools to foster original thinking.

Previously, Kelley built branding and communication strategies for digital agency, Huge as well as social media firm, Carrot Creative. She has penned articles for many of the PR industry’s top publications and is a regular speaker at New York University, the Miami Ad School and Pace University.
