Pringles named Official Snacks Partner of the League of Legends European Championship (LEC) 2020 Spring Split

Pringles announced that it will return as sponsor for one of the biggest eSports leagues in Europe, the League of Legends European Championship Spring Split. The championship began in January with the finals taking place in Hungary on April 25 and 26.

As well as providing must-have snacks for the LEC teams, the brand will be giving League of Legends players the chance to win a Hextech Skin or a League of Legends prize every day from now until 5 May.

Snackers can simply buy any can of Pringles and enter the batch code on the website for a chance to win an exclusive Hextech skin, one of the rarest skins in League of Legends, RIOT points and Hextech Chest & Key.

The snacking favourite will also give 10 lucky winners an exclusive experience at the LEC Studios in Berlin. This money-can’t-buy prize includes tickets to the show, a tour of the backstage area, playtest on stage and most importantly, meeting some of the casters.

Speaking about the sponsorship, Miranda Prins, VP of Pringles said, “After last year’s successful partnership, we were delighted to return as LEC sponsors for the second year running. We know gamers love Pringles so it only makes sense that we are involved in one of the biggest gaming championships in the world. The energy and passion from LEC fans last year was incredible and we cannot wait to see it this year.”

This promotion supports Pringles’ European strategy of becoming the preferred snack for players whilst amplifying the gaming experience. Already hailed as a gamers favourite, Pringles will continue to excite fans through exciting sponsorships and campaigns that will grow its footprint in the gaming community.

The LEC Spring Finals take place in Budapest on April 25 and 26, with the top teams from the regular season battling it out to become Spring Split champions and secure a spot at the World Championship later this year.
