An industry first, it was developed by creative agency, Goodby Silverstein & Partners, and designed for Android and iOS devices
Princess Cruises has released a new interactive mobile experience, Places to Sea, a swipe-to-like technology tool taking users on a visual journey through exotic destinations, activities, and culinary experiences to match them with a travel personality and destination recommendations.
An industry first, it was developed by the company’s creative agency, Goodby Silverstein & Partners. Designed for Android and iOS smartphone devices, the user-friendly feature can be swiped through a series of travel-related images, including everything from gastronomic delights to bucket-list destinations and excursions.
After the aforementioned initial step, the interface identifies travel preferences and assigns one of five different travel personalities. Whether the user is an adventurer, culturist, naturalist or foodie, the brand pairs each subscriber to a suitable cruise destination featuring complementary itineraries.
“For many travellers who are researching cruises, it’s easy to get overwhelmed with so many options and choices. Our new Places to Sea experience guides the process and matches the ideal trip with a person’s personality,” said Gordon Ho, Senior Vice President of Global Marketing at Princess Cruises.
Family and friends can easily share their results to determine the spot which best fits their group. The cruise personality profiler interface complements the Come Back New campaign at a time when consumers are thinking about planning vacation moments to relax, rejuvenate, and reconnect.
