Global public relations provider, Porter Novelli, has appointed Dan Benelisha to Senior Vice President and Managing Director of its Singapore office. In the dual role, his core responsibilities include growing and retaining talent as well as delivering strategic counsel to the agency’s key clients.

Meanwhile, he is also positioned as the regional lead on one of the group’s largest accounts. The newly afforded charge will see him report to President, Asia Pacific—Angie Schneider. He joins the network from Groupon, where he last served as Head of Communications for the APAC Tiger region.

At the company, Benelisha spearheaded a team responsible for external and internal communications as well as social media efforts across eight of its fastest growing markets including Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Taiwan. Prior to the aforementioned stint, he spent seven years at Waggener Edstrom.

During the final leg of his tenure there, he functioned in the capacity of Vice President of Asia Pacific across its technology practice. Before relocating from the United States, he completed five years at Itron—a technology provider to the utility industry. He holds a B.S. in Communications from the University of Tennessee.
