Premiering on 4 January 206, the new season welcomes Bob Harper as host and kicks off at the brand’s recently refurbished facility
Planet Fitness has signed on as national gym partner for NBC’s The Biggest Loser with the renewed partnership seeing activation for a fifth consecutive year. Set to premiere on 4 January 2016, the new season welcomes on board Bob Harper as host and will kick off at the brand’s recently refurbished facility.
The renovated training centre features contemporary equipment to help contestants achieve his or her personal fitness goals more effectively. Key upgrades include eight state-of-the-art monitors mounted to the gym’s walls, allowing better tracking of one’s calorie control and heart rate.
Throughout the series, segments will feature each contender discussing their individual progress and working out at Planet Fitness locations across the various hometowns. In addition, the show will include clips highlighting the wellness giant’s 30-minute circuit and easy-to-use equipment.
Dolvett Quince and Jen Widerstrom will return to train eight teams of two. Seven pairs—made up of spouses, parent and adult child, siblings, relatives, and best friends—will know each other. The eighth will comprise two strangers; former Survivor winner, Richard Hatch as well as The Voice past semi-finalist, Erin Willett.
“Planet Fitness is known for our judgement-free, non-intimidating environment. Feeling comfortable while working out is the first step toward setting and achieving your goals. We are excited to join The Biggest Loser for another season,” said Jamie Medeiros, Vice President of National Marketing at Planet Fitness.
