Jewellery designer, Pandora, and digital solutions provider, BrightStarr, are partnering to feature at the London Technology Week event taking place at Etc. Venues in Hatton Garden on 21 June 2016. Martyn Perks (pictured), Principal Business Consultant at BrightStarr will discuss the importance of design when building a digital workplace.
The workshop will focus on how connecting all parts of a business is an essential platform to help companies grow, as networks of colleagues, tools, content, and knowledge unite in a single environment. The session will address how design can determine if employees adopt new technology or leave it to decline.
Meanwhile, Morten Dal, Global Intranet Manager at Pandora is slated to join the discussion to tackle the importance design played in the brand’s new intranet, the role it took in shaping the look and feel, and the way the project was built, staged, and implemented. The company is renowned for its contemporary branding.
The said programme will also teach attendees how design, if done well, can make a digital workplace stronger as well as enhance employee engagement, productivity, and collaboration. Additionally, the conference will entail best practice examples, interactive discussions, and practical tips.
“If the benefits of good design appear obvious, why do so many businesses struggle to invest internally in design? With internal communications projects being the exception to the rule, few are as confident when explaining how design can help simplify complex business processes or improve how staff collaborate,” said Perks.
