Agency also recognised with ADC Black Cubefor Best in Digital

McCann was honoured across the board with Digital Agency of the Year, Agency of the Year, and Network of the Year distinctions at the ADC 96th Annual Awards celebrating the best in craft, design and innovation in advertising. The agency also won the coveted ADC Black Cube in Digital for best in discipline. This follows a recent announcement that McCann was named Network of the Year and Agency of the Year at the International ANDY Awards.

McCann won 21 ADC awards that contributed to its Network of the Year title, including the ADC Black Cube in Digital. McCann New York won as both Agency of the Year and Digital Agency of the Year for award winning work on behalf of clients including Lockheed Martin, Godiva, Girls Who Code, The Brady Campaign and the U.S. Army. Campaigns by McCann agencies in Japan and Colombia were represented among the wins, McCann Japan won a Gold Cube for their work with Amazon for Amazon Fashion Week Tokyo.

“Being named the top digital agency means that people are recognising that our teams use the most innovative and interesting ways to speak to our audience on behalf of our clients,” said Rob Reilly, Global Creative Chairman of McCann Worldgroup. “We are humbled by the triple ADC titles and will continue to put out brilliant work to make our clients proud.”

McCann client Lockheed Martin was named Client of the Year for its work with the agency on “Field Trip to Mars” which has been met with extraordinary public and industry acclaim since its release.

“The ‘Field Trip to Mars’ campaign exemplifies the best collaboration between an agency, a client and a production studio specialising in VR. It’s one of those campaigns where the final product became more than just the sum of its parts,” said Sean Bryan, Co-Chief Creative Officer of McCann New York. “We are thrilled to see so many of our campaigns represented in the ADC Awards this year, and we’re excited to create more outstanding, noticeable work for our clients,” said Tom Murphy, Co-Chief Creative Officer of McCann New York.

“McCann demonstrated the epitome of our judging criteria for excellence in craft, design and innovation. We salute the network and its clients for their outstanding work and performance in this year’s show,” said Michael O’Rourke, Executive Director of ADC, part of The One Club for Creativity.

McCann’s ADC 96th Annual Awards performance is the latest of many recent top global creative honours won by McCann Worldgroup, which was ranked in 2016 by The Gunn Report as the world’s second most creatively awarded network overall in advertising and specifically in digital as well. In 2017, the agency won both Network of the Year and Agency of the Year at the International ANDY Awards, in addition to taking the Best in Show GRANDY Award.
