McCann Health has filled the position of Global Chief Creative Officer with the appointment of longtime creative leader, Matt Eastwood.

McCann Health has named Matt Eastwood its Global Chief Creative Officer. Most recently worldwide chief creative officer at J. Walter Thompson, he brings to the role deep expertise in creative leadership, and boasts a career spanning numerous agencies and specialities.

Among the client markets he has served are Australia, the United Kingdom, and United States. He was formerly ECD at M&C Saatchi both in Melbourne and London. Subsequently hired as chief creative officer by Y&R New York, he moved to America to fill said position.

Later, Eastwood stepped into the capacity of vice chairman and national creative director at DDB in Australia before joining its New York office as CCO. Entering JWT in 2014, he led the firm to a stellar year in 2016, where it won a total of 80 Lions at the Cannes Festival.

“Matt is an immense talent, but an even better human. He is the global creative leader we need to continue the growth and commitment of McCann Health to do meaningful work for our brand partners,” said Rob Reilly, Global Creative Chairman of McCann Worldgroup.
