Elevated to the role, Jen Smith will oversee creative output for Maxus Global, and supervise client work on a worldwide and national scale.

Maxus Global has named current Head of Strategy and Planning for the UK, Jen Smith (pictured), the company’s first ever Global Creative Director. In her elevated capacity, she will oversee the entire creative output for the brand’s worldwide as well as national-level client accounts.

She has also been tasked with expanding the UK creative leadership programme for employees across the globe. Hired in 2013 as Head of Planning, her role was subsequently expanded to include strategy. She then created Change Planning, a bespoke planning process.

Smith restructured the team to allow for better insight-led, ideas-focused, and technology-rich solutions across the agency. In 2016, Smith developed a training scheme, taking 10 percent of the agency on a journey of facilitation techniques and creative problem-solving.

The new Global Creative Director will continue to work out of London, reporting to Nick Vale, Worldwide Head of Planning as well as Nick Baughan, CEO of Maxus UK. She expects to evenly split her time between the advertising network’s UK and global operations.

“Jen has been an absolutely integral part of the business; she’s a brilliant communicator and left field thinker. She has consistently come up with ideas that move the needle for our clients and make us a more efficient business,” said Worldwide CEO, Lindsay Pattison.
