LondonHouse Chicago is part of Hilton’s Curio brand, a collection of upscale hotels promising discovery and authentic experiences.

Curio – A Collection by Hilton and Oxford Hotels & Resorts have debuted LondonHouse Chicago. Located on the corner of North Michigan Avenue and Wacker Drive, the location pays tribute to its past whilst incorporating modern elements, and was established as the London Guarantee Building in 1923.

The luxury lifestyle property offers 452 guestrooms and suites as well as tech-forward amenities which cater to leisure and business travellers. It is part of Hilton Worldwide’s Curio brand, a rapidly expanding global collection of upscale hotels suited to vacationers seeking local discovery and authentic experiences.

The hotel is a participant of the Hilton HHonors loyalty programme, and is open to all guests to join for free. To celebrate the partnership and launch, patron will enjoy an additional 5,000 bonus points when they stay at the hotel for a minimum of three nights.

Gold and Diamond HHonors members staying at LondonHouse Chicago will enjoy complimentary breakfast for up to two registered guests per room or bonus points and space-available room upgrades. The nearly 100-year old structure uses its design to memorialise the era in which the 23-storey tower was originally built.

Oxford worked with architecture firm, Goettsch Partners, to develop a glass tower designed to synchronise with the 360 North Michigan Avenues building’s timeless Art Deco architecture. Simeone Deary, the hotel’s interior design firm, incorporated jazz themes and stylish architectural materials for a classic and modern mix.

The venue also features a tri-level rooftop, lobby bar, destination spa, 24-hour fitness centre, complimentary WiFi access, and two floors of upscale retail called The Shops at LondonHouse. Its chambers are equipped with 55-inch televisions using SoniCast, a media streaming programme powered by Google Chromecast.

The guestrooms and suites will also be equipped with Bluetooth-friendly Tivoli clock radios, mini refrigerators, luxury linen bedding and towels and signature Frette LondonHouse robes. Other amenities include task desks and marble-clad bathrooms with high-end Malin + Goetz products.

“Thanks in part to distinct details, such as subtle jazz themes and custom artwork incorporated into its design, LondonHouse Chicago is a true reflection of The Windy City’s history dating back to the Roaring Twenties,” said Dianna Vaughan, SVP and Global Head for Curio – A Collection by Hilton and DoubleTree by Hilton.

Hilton was a winner at the 2014-2015 World Branding Awards under the Hotels (Global) category.
