Krispy Kreme has signed a development agreement with Quality Foods Africa to launch 20 stores in Nigeria over a five-year period.

Krispy Kreme has signed a development deal with Quality Foods Africa. The agreement will see 20 of the brand’s shops open in Nigeria over a period of five years. The African group is a quick service restaurant business focused on quality dining across the region’s growing consumer markets.

The agreement will make Nigeria the thirty-first nation worldwide where said offering is present, and the second African country to carry the doughnut brand. The marque made its debut in South Africa in 2015.

“We are thrilled to be expanding and are fortunate to be working with an exceptional group. We cannot wait to introduce the joy of our doughnuts and coffee to the people of Nigeria over the next several years,” said Michael McGill, Vice President of International at Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.
