MWWPR Appoints Gareth Davies as UK Digital Lead

Davies Brings Expertise in Digital, PR and Integrated Communications to MWWPR

MWWPR, a global independent PR agency, has appointed Gareth Davies as VP Digital Strategy and UK Digital Lead.

Previously EMEA Digital Lead at WE Communications, Davies will oversee digital strategy for all UK and EU clients in this newly created role, continuing the agency’s focus on delivering fully integrated and earned-worthy programmes.

Davies brings a wealth of experience delivering social media strategy, content strategy, social listening, digital media buying, influencer relations, and measurement and analytics for both B2B and B2C clients.

Davies’ brief will be to explore and develop the agency’s clients’ digital opportunities, integrate with the agency’s award-winning Digital Practice in the US and extend into new industry sectors in the UK. He will report into UK Managing Director, Paddy Herridge, and Chief Digital Strategist, Parker Ray, who is based in New York.

“Building our UK digital team to complement our award-winning US resource will enable us to offer an even greater breadth of integrated campaigns and digital services to UK and EU clients. Gareth’s experience and insight-led approach will help maximise how we tell our clients’ stories across all platforms and grow their businesses—he will be a great addition to the team,” said Michael Kempner, founder and CEO.

“This was a unique opportunity to join a world-class, fiercely independent agency and continue to build out their UK and EU digital presence. The agency’s belief in delivering earned-worthy content and data-driven insights across paid, owned and earned channels represents the future of PR, and being a part of that is hugely exciting,” said Davies.

Prior to joining the agency, Davies spent close to five years at WE Communications as EMEA Digital Lead where he was responsible for leading and growing the digital business within WE Communications’ EMEA offering.

Whilst at WE, Davies developed a methodology that allowed the agency to effectively score and index a brand’s performance within the social media ‘echo chamber’ using a mix of cutting-edge tools and social analytics. Prior to that, Davies spent five years as Head of Digital at MSL London where he was hired to set up and establish its digital practice.
