Travellers can now experience the new Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach hotel which has just rolled into Hawaii to offer a luxury experience.
Hyatt Centric has launched a new Waikiki Beach property. Situated within the location’s former trade centre, the premiere represents the brand’s entry into Hawaii and features 230 guestrooms and suites designed to appeal to global travellers and modern-day explorers.
To mark the debut, the venue is hosting its grand opening on 19 January, which kicks off with the destination’s first Walk for Wishes event for Make-A-Wish Hawaii. The hotel offers views of the ocean and Diamond Head. Key amenities include premium bathrooms and more.
Other facilities entail a lounge pool, gym, and outdoor seating with fire pits. Its bar and restaurant, The Lānai, led by Chef Yoshi Ohata, is a 1,900 square foot eatery set in an island-inspired space and introduces creative Pacific fusion dishes to the Waikiki culinary scene.
Several retailers also join the property in re-energized storefronts, including a two-level Nordstrom Rack which opened in September 2016; Starbucks offering craft beers, wines, and gourmet appetisers in the evening hours; Jamba Juice; and American Savings Bank.
Developed by Chartres Lodging and CoastWood Capital Group, the location is the twelfth under the portfolio. Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach joins properties in markets such as New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, Key West, Montevideo, and Uruguay, among several others.
“The property’s revitalisation has been an incredible journey. We are proud to play a role in the renaissance of Kūhiō Avenue. Our hotel is a launch pad for guests to explore and discover the best of Waikiki’s urban setting,” said Charles Young, GM of Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach.
