Hyatt Hotels has announced the opening of its first Andaz-branded hotel in Germany, with the location set in Munich’s Schwabinger Tor.
Hyatt has announced the debut of Andaz Munich Schwabinger Tor, its first Andaz-branded hotel in Germany. Joining other top destinations worldwide such as New York, Amsterdam, London, and Abu Dhabi, the new property is the third location from the portfolio in Europe.
Featuring 277 loft-inspired suites and guestrooms with views of both the metropolis and Alps, its accommodations afford custom-designed sofas reminiscent of vintage car seats and La Bottega and Saskia Diez bath amenities to complement the Hyatt luxury aesthetic.
The establishment offers guests an unscripted Bavarian-inspired experience, allowing Hyatt patrons to feel like locals upon arrival. Said venue is situated in the Schwabing district, the cultural hub of the city with many theatres, restaurants, and the popular Englischer Garten.
“Here is a vibrant Munich milieu known for its culture and diversity. This hotel serves as a sanctuary for inquisitive travellers with an interest in the area’s urban design, street art, and social responsibility,” said Mattheos Georgiou, GM of Andaz Munich Schwabinger Tor.
Capturing the age-old traditions and fresh vibes of the place, the Hyatt location aspires to embody the heart and soul of the city with its diamond-patterned ceilings, herringbone oak floors, copper accents, leather sofas, and a video installation in the lobby by Yves Petzner.
