Starwood Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement with Sydney-based developer, JL Parramatta, to launch Four Points by Sheraton Parramatta in said Australian cosmopolitan city. Situated in the Central Business District area along George Street, the 271-room property is scheduled to open in 2018.
The hotel will be a short walk from Parramatta Station, the Parramatta River, and Westfield Parramatta, the country’s second largest shopping complex. Home to major commercial tenants, while in close proximity of the famous ‘Eat Street’ gastronomical hub, said location is set to attract both business and leisure travellers.
Other attractions include the Riverside Theatre, Parramatta Stadium, and Rosehill Gardens. The spot is to feature a bar and lobby lounge, restaurant, fitness centre, an indoor swimming pool, and convenient parking facilities. Its meeting facilities are slated to be among the largest in the metropolis at 500 square metres.
Reflecting its promise to provide what matters most, the destination is also offering various defining touches, including the Four Points signature bed, WiFi in public areas, an energising breakfast, and the brand’s signature Best Brews programme, to help guests to enjoy their day from start to finish.
Four Points by Sheraton Parramatta joins Starwood’s robust portfolio in the Pacific with 17 hotels in operation, including properties in Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth. It also joins eleven properties under development namely Points by Sheraton Melbourne Docklands, Four, and Aloft Perth Rivervale, among others.
“We continue to grow the presence of the brand in Australia. With the current development in Parramatta, Sydney’s second largest work district, the location was a natural choice for our next Four Points by Sheraton hotel,” said Sean Hunt, Regional VP at Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Pacific.
