The team members and clients of Maxus are joining Essence in Korea. The move is in tandem with GroupM’s global re-organisation strategy.
Maxus is set to join Essence in Korea. The transition will be complete by the end of the year, with the migration of a 15-person team. The move is in line with GroupM’s global re-organisation, which also includes the expansion of the digital firm’s capabilities and reach.
Jay Lee, the current Business Director of Maxus Korea, will switch into the same role at the now wider agency. He will lead its expansion into the market and offer clients a data-led full-service media proposition. The appointment will be in effect by 1 January 2018.
“Localisation is essential in the region, which is not one market but many distinct geographies, cultures, and media marketplaces. This furthers our localisation to best serve advertisers seeking brand growth with Asian consumers,” said Kyoko Matsushita (pictured), APAC CEO at Essence.
