DoubleTree by Hilton, has unveiled its first property in Arkansas’ second largest city following a multi-million-dollar renovation. The hotel boasts 255 contemporary guestrooms in a nine-story, atrium-style hotel distinguished by a five-story waterfall cascading into the lobby.

Located in the heart of downtown, the property is five miles from Fort Smith Municipal Airport and a short walk to numerous businesses and historic attractions such as the Museum of History, the outdoor Trolley Car Museum, and pleasant walking trails along the Arkansas River.

Designed with comfort in mind, all rooms feature complimentary WiFi access, an ergonomic work station, black-out curtains, premium Sweet Dreams Sleep Experience beds as well as interior balconies for clear views of the cascading waterfall, lobby restaurant, and lounge.

Custom artwork is evident throughout, and includes sculptures that reflect the annual butterfly migration through Fort Smith each fall. A highlight of the lobby is 1817 Grille, a restaurant offering regional cuisine which draws on the richness of the fresh ingredients sourced locally.

Meanwhile, The Tap Room affords an assortment of drinks and signature cocktails in a space equipped with screens for the latest entertainment. Takeout and room service are also available or patrons may pick up sandwiches, salads, beer, and wine from the 24-hour Made Market Pantry.

DoubleTree by Hilton Fort Smith City Center also entails more than 17,000 square feet of column-free of meeting spaces, including a 10,656-square-foot grand ballroom. The property provides an additional 47,000 square feet to cater to conferences, banquets, and other large events.

Signature breakfast offerings and premium audio-visual equipment and services are available in addition to a fully-equipped 24-hour business centre. Other conveniences include a gym, an indoor heated pool, and a free shuttle to any location within a five-mile radius, including the airport.

“By fully renovating the adjacent hotel so it carries our name, we are adding to the Fort Smith landscape the upscale lodging and welcoming service our guests expect from our growing worldwide brand,” said Dianna Vaughan, Senior Vice President and Global Head of DoubleTree by Hilton.

Hilton was a winner at the 2014-2015 World Branding Awards under the Hotels (Global) category.
