In conjunction with the holiday season, Don Julio has added to its portfolio with the introduction of a new look 1942 tequila bottle.
Don Julio has added to its portfolio with the entry of an up-sized version of the 1942 classic. Coming in at 1.75 litres, the new tequila bottle is available across five American cities—New York, California, Nevada, Illinois, and Florida—and features a luminescent label for heightened visibility.
The updated packaging is set to roll out in other markets throughout 2017. The product was originally released during the brand’s sixtieth anniversary, marking the final variant its founder created, and for which the design takes after the agave leaf to represent the beverage’s essence and roots.
Once a spirit for those in the know, the 1942 has since its debut established itself as a must-have celebratory spirit at premier nightlife events worldwide. Said Don Julio favourite delivers a distinct flavour profile featuring a precise concoction of caramel, toffee, and vanilla, with an agave-laced finish.
“The new offering, what we fondly call the El Jefe, gives nightlife a 1942 bottle as large as its celebrations deserve. We hope fans consider it our gift to them and enjoy the drink responsibly during special occasions and milestones,” said Rodolfo Aldana, Director of Tequila at Diageo North America.
