The brand’s UK Tyre Division website has undergone a total revamp, a move which aligns the relaunched version with global sights
Continental Tyres has given its UK Tyre Division website a complete makeover and aligned the relaunched version with global sights. The move is in direct correlation with the increasing number of the brand’s consumers turning their information searches on the company’s offerings to the digital sphere.
“With our new-look website, we are aiming to offer visitors even more targeted and rapid access to the information they want, providing them, for example, with better and faster online advice on selecting the right Continental tyres for their needs,” said Stephan Meier, eBusiness EMEA Head of Continental.
A key highlight of the revamped portal is the tyre and dealer search function. The enhanced navigation and content concept also caters to user groups such as the dealers themselves, who can take advantage of the new features which include a new download area.
Meanwhile, journalists now have access to the brand’s photo galleries and embedded videos to facilitate the composition of their articles, via the website’s Press Service section. Overall, the site sports a responsive design and revitalised colour scheme while also having been optimised for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets.
“We want to make relevant information available to the various user groups no matter what kind of terminal device they use, because that’s taken for granted these days,” said Wiebke Wallenwein, Team Leader Online Marketing of Continental, who led the relaunch exercise.
The integration of numerous large-format photos and videos has boosted the entertainment value of a visit to the Continental website significantly. Furthermore, visitors to the said online portal can access information from all parts of the Tyre Division seamlessly.
Along with product content on car, truck, specialty, bicycle, and motorbike tyres categories, Continental also offers a wide range of background information on the value proposition of premium Continental tyres and the technologies that the tyre manufacturer deploys.
The launch of the UK site sits alongside the new global Tyre Division website, marking the first step in the worldwide makeover of Continental’s online presence in the tyre sector. In the next few weeks, the tyre giant is set to roll out the new-style content and design in some 50 countries across Europe, Asia, and America.
The Tyre Division’s new German website also went live recently. Its current highlight, the brand new super sports tyre, SportContact 6, was officially launched just prior to above roll-out at a media event for international journalists and dealers which commenced at the Bilster Berg Drive Resort.
