The effort furthers the Canon India corporate philosophy of Kyosei, which means ‘living and working together for the common good’.

Canon India has launched the Support a Life campaign, a project involving a tie-up with SOS Children’s Village across the country to support the education and development of kids in the network’s villages. The first phase has rolled out in celebration of the country’s 70th Independence Day.

As part of the initiative, the company’s employees have adopted 187 children in the country to take responsibility of each child’s well-being. The effort furthers the marque’s corporate philosophy of Kyosei, which means ‘living and working together for the common good’.

The exercise expands the group’s horizon of commitment to the country, adding ‘Empowerment’ to its existing 3E framework of social outreach. As part of Canon Involve, the platform will continue dedicated efforts in the fields of education, eye care, environment, and empowerment.

Strengthening its vision to empower youth, the brand is set to introduce vocational and skill development training under its flagship CSR initiative, Adopt a Village. The campaign will launch in the month of September across its first adopted village in Ferozpur Namak, Haryana.

“At Canon, we are deeply involved in meaningful, welfare driven initiatives that impact lives and make people future ready. And what better way to prepare for our future than to invest in our children—the building blocks of the nation,” Kazutada Kobayashi, President and CEO of Canon India.
