In conjunction with the San Jose push, the airline’s customers stand to return tickets for two to the aforementioned destination.
British Airways has kick-started a trade promotion ahead of its 4 May 2014 launch of flights to San Jose in California, one of the tech capitals of the world. In conjunction with the push, the airline’s customers stand to win a pair of return tickets to the aforementioned destination.
To be in running to win the trip for two to the city, travel agents will simply need to book one or more passengers to fly with the airline between London and San Jose between 7 April and 31 May 2016, for travel in any cabin until the last day of December.
To participate, the code ‘787OFR’ needs to be entered in to the GDS when booking flights between Heathrow and San Jose. The route will be served by the airline’s new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. Since the aircraft is 20 feet longer that the 787-8, it is able to offer four cabins.
They are World Traveller (economy), World Traveller Plus (premium economy), Club World (business class), and for the first time on the airline’s Dreamliner fleet, a First cabin. Specially developed for the 787-9, the new cabin maintains exclusivity with only eight suits.
Each seat has four additional storage areas, including an ottoman, a personal suiter, locker for small personal effects and device stowage space complete with charging capability. Meanwhile, in-flight entertainment is shown on a 23-inch fixed screen and a smart jog-dial.
“It’s a great opportunity to bring together two dynamic cities. Equally, it’s an ideal gateway to California and the scenic Pacific Coast Highway. It’s well worth agents offering it as another option in addition to San Francisco, Los Angeles or San Diego,” said Stephen Humphreys, Head of Global Sales at British Airways.
During the recent 2015-2016 installation of the prestigious World Branding Awards held at London’s Kensington Palace, British Airways emerged as a winner under the programme’s highly competitive airline (national) category, walking away with the title for a second consecutive year.
